Alwaght - On Wednesday morning,
Israeli regime-based news website Walla has revealed the occurrence of secret meetings
between Palestinian and Israeli regime officials, assuming they took place for
the purpose of reducing the political tension between both sides.
According to the Hebrew website, the meetings were led by
representatives of the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, and the Israeli
regime Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
The meetings took place after the Palestinian authority (PA)
insisted on heading to the ICC and filing lawsuits against Israeli regime
crimes, regarding last year’s Gaza aggression and the ongoing settlement
Furhermore, the report claimed that as a result of these
meetings, there has been a “slow-down” in announcing Israeli regime settlement
The report added that a high-level Palestinian source said
that the meetings focused on evaluating the situation in the region, in an
attempt to trigger the political stalemate.
The diplomat, according to Walla, said that the decision by
Israeli regime to give permission to Palestinians to enter al-Qods, was
based on an agreement between the two sides, to reduce tensions and find a way
out of the current political crisis.
These meetings have been taking place for three months now,
This report was rejected by Netanyahu’s office, while the PA
still hasn’t given any comments yet.
