Alwaght- North Korea has accused US President Donald Trump of begging for nuclear war amid rising saber-rattling between the two countries.
Trump is "staging an extremely dangerous nuclear gamble on the Korean peninsula," a North Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman said in a written statement on Saturday.
The North Korean official also called Trump a "nuclear demon" and a "disruptor of global peace."
The North's latest statement comes days after the country test-fired a brand new intercontinental ballistic missile, capable of hitting continental United States.
After the missile was tested, Trump threatened North Korea with destruction while calling for additional sanctions against the country.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says that US threat to destroy North Korea should war break out is "a bloodthirsty tirade" and a big mistake.
The North Korean leader ordered the production of more rocket warheads and engines in August, shortly after the US suggested that its threats of military action and sanctions were having an impact on Pyongyang’s behavior.
North Korea says it will not give up on its nuclear deterrence unless Washington ends its hostile policy toward the country and stops provocative military drills with neighboring North Korea and Japan.
